BASÍLICA DE SANTA MARIA DEL PI

The Basilica of Santa Maria del Pi is located between Pi and Sant Josep Oriol squares. Catalan Gothic style, built between 1319 and 1391, it has a single nave of large dimensions with side chapels located between the Gothic buttresses.

Inside, a gothic image of Nuestra Señora del Pi is conserved, from the 14th century and four stained-glass windows are originals of the Catalan Baroque Josep Ravella in collaboration with Antoni Viladomat, the best stained-glass makers and painters of the Catalan Baroque, respectively. There is also the largest rose window in Catalonia.

CASA BATLLÓ

Located in Passeig de Gracia, you can find Casa Batlló, a work by Antoni Gaudí full of colour and fantasy that captivates pedestrians.

Casa Batlló belongs to Gaudí’s naturalist stage; a period in which Gaudí was inspired by the organic forms of nature. This can be seen throughout the building through multiple interpretations; such as the legend of Sant Jordi, which is represented on the façade and in two interior spaces. In addition, floral motifs are decorated for this celebration.

CATEDRAL DE SANTA EULALIA DE BARCELONA

The Cathedral of Barcelona, located in the Gothic Quarter, was built over six centuries on the ancient Romanesque cathedral, reflected in the chapel of Santa Lucía. On the other hand, the main façade and the towers are from the 19th century, following a neo-gothic style.

Declared an Asset of Cultural Interest and a National Historic-Artistic Monument since November 2,1929, it is dedicated to the Santa Cruz and Santa Eulalia, patron saint of the city of Barcelona and where its remains rest in the crypt.

GRAN TEATRE DEL LICEU

The Gran Teatre del Liceu, built in 1847 on the Rambla de Barcelona, is a unique cultural facility in Barcelona and has become a symbol of the city. With a capacity of 2,292 seats and five amphitheatres, it is one of the largest opera houses in the world.

LA PEDRERA (CASA MILÀ)

Casa Milà is Gaudí’s last work, built between 1906 and 1912 and declared a Unesco World Heritage Site in 1984. Known as La Pedrera due to its exterior that looks like an open quarry with forms extracted from nature.

La Pedrera can be visited both day and night, in the latter you can enjoy an audiovisual show. In addition, a series of concerts and events are held on summer nights for the public.

Les Rambles

Boasting a lenght of 1,200 metres, La Rambla is one of the main arteries of the city, best known and most visited in Barcelona where florists, kiosks and street artists can be found.

Along the way you can find the Gran Teatre del Liceu, the Boqueria Market, the Palau de la Virreina or the Font de Canaletes (a site celebrating the successes of Barcelona Football Club).
